Getting Here...

Sayward is located on north Vancouver Island's beautiful east coast, approximately 75 kilometers north of Campbell River.

Campbell River to Sayward

It takes approximately 55 minutes to drive from Campbell River to Sayward.

Take the Inland Island Highway (Highway 19) north.

Turn right at the Sayward Junction onto Sayward Road and proceed approximately 3km to the Heritage Hall, which is the start and finish line for the race.

The Heritage Hall is on the left-hand side of the road.

 

Nanaimo to Campbell River

From either the Duke Point or Departure Bay Ferry Terminal in Nanaimo, drive north on the Inland Island Highway (Highway 19) for approximately one and a half hours to Campbell River.

You could also take the scenic Oceanside route to Campbell River (Highway 19A), which takes approximately two hours.

Sidney/Victoria to Nanaimo

From the Schwartz Bay Ferry Terminal or Victoria International Airport in Sidney, travel south to Victoria on the Patricia Bay Highway (Route 17) for approximately 30 minutes.

Take the McKenzie Avenue West exit toward Highway 1 / Nanaimo / Trans Canada Highway.

From McKenzie Avenue West, turn right onto Provincial Route 1 North / Trans Canada Highway North.

The drive to Nanaimo from Victoria will take approximately one and a half hours.

From Port Hardy

It takes about two hours to drive to Sayward from Port Hardy.

Take Highway 19 South to Sayward.

Turn left at the Sayward Junction and proceed approximately 3km to the Heritage Hall, which is the start and finish line for the race.

The Heritage Hall is on the left-hand side of the road.
